Sue Cross — Fri, 05 May 2023 05:17:29 +0000

`Breakaway` by Sue Cross is a stunning watercolour painting that captures the rugged beauty of the Australian outback. The painting transports the viewer to a vast, arid landscape with a large, gaping chasm that dominates the foreground. The chasm is filled with jagged rocks and boulders, creating a sense of raw, untamed nature. Surrounding the chasm are sparse vegetation, including trees and shrubs, that cling to the edges of the cliff. The sky overhead is a clear, bright blue, and the sun shines down, casting shadows across the landscape. The artist`s attention to detail and skillful use of visual elements brings the scene to life. The lines in the painting create a sense of depth and perspective, drawing the viewer`s eye into the vast expanse of the outback. The shapes of the crater, trees, and shrubs add to the overall composition, creating a sense of balance and harmony. The muted colors and soft textures contribute to the painting`s realistic and hazy appearance, capturing the harsh yet beautiful essence of the Australian outback. `Breakaway` is not just a painting; it is a powerful reminder of the harshness and beauty of nature.
