This work is titled 'Red Sunrise On Mellaluka' a scene from the farm where I spent my fromative teenage years in the wheatbelt of Western Australia.

It was a red sunrise in high summer this day, so the dry scrub and red soil are glowing in the red light, then contrasting with the blue sky.

I completeted it in 2015, and then it hung in my father's retirement village room for several years before he passed away and he told me it was very special to him.

This painting then came back to me. Its been several years since then, and today at last I signed it. Today is the first of January 2020, the day this painting finally moves online. Happy new year.
