Her artistic journey began at a young age, sparked by her aunt`s art classes and further nurtured by a mentor in her twenties. After taking a break to raise a family, Beth returned to painting during the COVID pandemic, joining local art clubs and taking online classes to further develop her skills. Beth`s artistic style is characterized by a love for the intricate details of nature, from the intertwining branches of trees to the colors of their leaves. She draws inspiration from the diverse landscapes of the Midwest, often using photography as a tool to compose her paintings. Her work often features the essence of different seasons, ranging from the vibrant hues of spring to the stark beauty of winter. Though Beth`s technique leans towards realism, she is constantly experimenting with new techniques, including elements of Impressionism. Her paintings are a blend of bold, expressive strokes and intricate, detailed brushwork, created with acrylic and gouache on canvas. Through her art, Beth hopes to evoke a sense of wonder and appreciation for the natural world, inviting viewers to step into the scenes she creates and explore the depth and texture of nature. Beth`s work has garnered recognition in the form of awards and honors, including merit awards at the DuPage Art League and honorable mentions at the Danada Nature Photo & Art Show.
