This Rottnest Island painting is expressed in mixed-media because of the beautiful rock formations partly covered in seaweed and water the texture is 3-D. I painted with Gesso to portray the rock texture, then applied watercolour freely over the water. Rottnest has special memories for me as my family and I regularly visited for decades.
