This plein air oil painting was painted on location at North Fremantle riverside of Doepel Street, in Sorrel Park.

This is a peaceful parkland and I always enjoy painted here. In this one, I have used the riverbank to lead the viewer through the old traffic bridge and into the mystery of the working port of Fremantle.

The scenery within the port can change quickly when ships come and go. I was pleased that all ships stayed in place on the morning of this painting.
