ASA More, also known as Darin Wilson, is a self-taught artist based in Florida who discovered his passion for art later in life. Born in the Bronx, New York, Wilson made the move to Florida about 20 years ago and began his artistic journey with sculptures in 2018. It wasn`t until 2020, during the pandemic, that he started creating abstract art and fell in love with painting. Wilson encourages others to try their hand at art, as he believes that once you start, you won`t be able to stop. Wilson`s artistic style is eclectic and ever-evolving. He enjoys experimenting with different styles, colors, and designs, allowing his creativity to flow freely. His artwork is a reflection of his unique perspective and the ideas that come to his mind. Despite his relatively short time as an artist, Wilson is dedicated to honing his craft and continuing to create. Throughout his artistic journey, Wilson has achieved recognition for his work. In 2018, he created his first sculpture titled `Service With A Smile (SWASmile)` using SunRail train tickets, which won second place in an art exhibit at the Orlando International Airport. His second sculpture, `Link Up,` made from Lynx bus tickets, won Best of Show in the same exhibit in 2020. In 2024, Wilson won second place for his first abstract art painting, `Miami Vice,` a two-piece set, at the Orlando International Airport Art Exhibit. Wilson expresses gratitude to MCO Orlando International Airport for providing the opportunity for employees and family members to showcase their artwork and for inspiring him to pursue a career as an artist.
