Gull’s Eye View
$450 AUD
“Gull’s Eye View” is an aerial perspective of a dynamic marine environment. It depicts the interplay of vibrant blue and green waters, light, and various depths or submerged elements, alongside suggestions of land or coral, all viewed from a high vantage point akin to that of a flying seabird.
The composition is composed almost entirely of organic, amorphous shapes. There are no rigid geometric forms; instead, fluid and irregular patches of color merge and separate, evoking the natural contours of water, reflections, or submerged elements like coral reefs or rocks. The shapes created by the lighter turquoise against the darker blues suggest rippling surfaces or light penetrating to various depths.
The sides of the painting as well as the front are painted, making a frame unnecessary.
