Acrylic on Dutch Aquatint Paper
97 x 76 cm
Eleanor Millard’s work is immediately recognised for its subtle blended forms and haunting imagery of Victoria’s rural and coastal landscapes and communities. Her imagery is atmospheric and evocative, hovering between hazy fragments of memory and more definitive formal structures of land or sea. With an intuitive feel for texture and medium, whether on paper or canvas, Eleanor’s work is subtle yet strongly expressive. Selected achievements: 2015: King’s School Art Prize Finalist; 2013: Kedumba Drawing Award Finalist; 2012: Salon des Refusés at S.H. Ervin Gallery, Sydney; Eleanor Millard featured in House and Garden in “Bold Strokes”, by Judy Ostergaard (March, 2012); 2011: Wynne Prize Finalist, AGNSW
