Watching Blue Burn

Watching Blue Burn was painted against the backdrop of the 2020 global pandemic, where questions were being asked about the source of the virus and whole communities were in lock-down. Panic buying combined with shutdowns was crippling supply chains around the world, and everyone was wondering when it would end. Economies were faltering. Tensions were escalating between the USA and China over trade and other issues, then the USA suddenly plunged into race riots. Napoleon Bonaparte famous quote ‘never disturb your enemy when they are making a mistake’ rings true.
