This is a pastel painting of a typical southern French cafe in a small provincial village. I have tried to portray the languorous lunchtime fell on a warm early afternoon after a wine or two. Only Henri the cafe cat is showing much energy! I hope this will provoke a few memories of trips gone by and yet to come.
