This painting is in oil on board and was painted en plein air over two days on a recent visit to Yallingup. A larger studio version also in oil was the raffle prize at the West Australian Society of Arts 125th Annual Exhibition.

This General Store/cafe/post office just oozes atmosphere and is so evocative of sea side ‘bucket and spade’ holidays, although ironically it is actually a reasonable uphill walk from the beach! I hope it will radiate summer fun to the viewer even on wet winter days.
