Emmanuelle Fonsny

Emmanuelle Fonsny is a self-taught artist from Belgium who has been living in Sydney since the age of 13. Growing up, she loved spending time creating tiny objects out of clay for her doll house, or drawing cats and faces in graphite. Although she has worked in music and languages, art has always been present in her life. In her 30s, she started exploring other mediums by attending various classes and workshops. She also started learning figure drawing to loosen up her style. Emmanuelle tried acrylic and oil but what truly resonated with her was pastels after seeing a pastel exhibition at the Musée d’Orsay in Paris in 2023.
