Michelle Collins SibArt is an Australian artist whose passion for art developed at a young age and has continued to evolve throughout her life. After graduating as a teacher in 1988, Michelle spent two years teaching art before pursuing other career opportunities. In 2023, she made the decision to reignite her passion for art by completing a Certificate 4 in Painting and Drawing, which allowed her to further develop her skills and regain confidence in her abilities. Michelle`s artistic style can be best described as hyper-realism, with a focus on botanical subjects, Australian fauna, and fantasy imagery. Her attention to detail and ability to capture the intricate details of her subjects set her work apart and draw viewers into her whimsical and enchanting worlds. Through her art, Michelle aims to evoke a sense of wonder and appreciation for the beauty of the natural world. In addition to her formal education in painting and drawing, Michelle is continually seeking to expand her artistic knowledge and skills. She is currently enrolled in the Friends of Geelong Botanical Gardens Society Art course, where she is further honing her craft and exploring new techniques and mediums.
