Sue Alexander

Sue Alexander is a talented artist with a background in music, specifically in Piano Pedagogy. After teaching for over 35 years, she discovered her passion for painting in 2013 when she attended an art class at a restaurant. While the class didn`t teach her much, it ignited a spark within her that led her to explore painting on her own. Sue`s artistic journey has been focused on capturing the beauty of the world around her, particularly the landscapes and scenes she experienced during her time living on the east coast of the U.S. Her love for pets, especially dogs, also shines through in her work, as she often creates pet portraits. During the Covid lockdown, Sue discovered Fluid Art through YouTube and fell in love with this form of painting as well. She creates a variety of items using fluid art, such as jewelry, jewelry boxes, trivets, and coasters. Additionally, Sue has partnered with a company in Montreal to put her art on clothing and home goods, expanding the reach of her creations. Sue`s artistic style can be described as realism, with a focus on landscapes, seascapes, florals, and pets. Her goal as an artist is to transport both herself and the viewer to the beautiful scenes she paints, allowing them to experience the same sense of freedom and creativity that she feels while creating. Throughout her career, Sue has participated in numerous exhibitions and has received recognition for her work.
